WHAT IS THE ENERGY MODALITY USED IN A SESSION?
JIN SHIN JYUTSU is the method used in this holistic mind-body balancing and harmonizing practice. Light touch is used on various personal energy centers in the body to help restore, maintain, and optimize the energy through out the body. It elicits the relaxation response, calms the nervous system, and decreases symptoms of discomfort, anxiety, stress, and fatigue among other health and wellbeing concerns.
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT FROM A SESSION? .... like acupuncture with out the needles!
During a wellness session the receiver remains clothed and lies face-up on a cushioned massage table. The session is 60 minutes long. After a personalized assessment the practitioner employs a harmonizing sequence, or "flow" appropriate for opening energy pathways and restoring physical, mental and emotional harmony and balance. A "flow" is a series of hand placement combinations that stimulates circulation of energy along a given pathway. There are many such pathways in the body, each with a distinct function and essence. Clients most commonly experience deep relaxation. At the end of each session, the practitioner provides clients with simple self help flows so they can integrate them with daily practice in their wellness routine.
SHOULD I CONTINUE TO SEE MY PHYSICIAN OR MY HEALTHCARE PROVIDER?
Yes. A session is not a replacement for medical treatment. It works in coordination with any guidance from your medical professional.
